  • I have read enough information about thimerosol to know I did NOT want even a tiny amount of this in my babies' little bodies. The medical profession has been wrong about MANY things, particularly when it comes to mothers and children.

  • I thought the same thing as I watched the gymnastics events. Johnson's execution was near-perfection, and her landings (on the beam, the floor, the vault, the bars) were "stuck", as they so say, to the extent that she didn't waver - she just landed - BAM.

  • To my way of thinking, needing to call someone the "greatest" defeats the whole purpose of human endeavor and the spirit of the Olympics in general. I love Michael Phelps, and he is clearly the most successful Olympic swimmer so far in history.

  • The U.S is a market economy. This means, unfortunately, that there's little incentive to create or produce something (like alternative fuel vehicles or even the technology to access/produce alternative fuels) until the price of pursuing those thigns is right.

  • What the heck was the name of that game that has spawned so many jokes? Oh, yes - "Zero Wing." "All your base are belong to us"? "Fire every ZIG"? And so forth? The translations were so bad that using them has become an industry.
